KLTV Board Minutes
October 16, 2006

 

Immediate Past President Dave Taylor called the meeting to order at 5:35 pm. All Board Members were present.

Motion to accept Minutes of August 21, 2006  meeting made by Mark McCrady, Seconded by Lenore Dickinson, Motion Passed.

IPP Dave acknowledged newly elected Board Members Joe Daggy, George Ford, Mike Kayser, Brian Magnuson and Mark McCrady.

Election of Officers for 2006 – 2008
Mark McCrady – President
Vice President – Lenore Dickinson     
Betty Wilson made the Motion to accept the slate of officers presented, Seconded by Brian Magnuson. Motion passed.
It was clarified that Secretary & Treasurer positions are appointed by the President.

Executive Director Floyd Smith presented the Treasurers Report on behalf of Vince Penta, Outgoing Treasurer. (Report Attached)
Mr. Penta highlights KLTV’s net worth at $748, 554.53.
Mark McCrady clarified the figure to include the KLTV building’s estimated worth at $500,000. And that an appraisal is forthcoming.

The monthly report as of August 31st  shows a -$791.68 balance. (NOTE: By Gary - be advised that a check  and cash totaling $659.51 were deposited by September 11th and a county check for $37,696.48 was deposited on 9/15/2006)

Outgoing Facilities Chairperson Barry Morrill who is out of country asked Floyd to relay his report as well. Barry just wanted to report that though Architect Gary Slyter was commissioned to design a new façade that there is no contract or commitment in place. Gary Slyter understands that this project has been put on hold.

Engineer Doug Fisher is still addressing the Live Remote capability from the County and City Halls.

He has met with both city and county officials for discussions on quality issues. Floyd also pointed out that contract engineer Doug Fisher is researching replacement equipment, and county & city officials are allowing KLTV adequate time to get the job done right.

 
 
New Business.  Mark McCrady exercised his prerogative to appoint Brian Magnuson as Treasurer and Betty Wilson as Secretary.

Joe Daggy made a motion to send John Glasco a letter letting him and wife Tammy know that the No Trespass Order has been removed and that they would be welcome to visit or even be members of KLTV in the future. Seconded by Mike Kayser. The motion was amended to stipulate that the decision letter should be signed by the Board President. Motion Passed.

Betty pointed out that Old Business should always go before New Business on the agenda.

Mark McCrady made a motion to disband the quality committee and have staff commit to overseeing matters of satisfying government demands for improved on-air audio & video. Seconded by Joe Daggy. Motion Passed.

No Old Business.

Allan Rudberg welcomed the new board members and harbored hope that the healing process and forgiveness would continue.
